A great way to get an excellent total leg and core workout on a treadmill is to simulate sprinting while walking on a treadmill at 1 to 4 mph. Do this in 1 minute intervals for 20 minutes. This is an outstanding way to burn calories and get some aerobic work in while also toning and strengthening your leg muscles. This is really good for the glutes and calves.
